Outlook for 2014 Continues to be Positive Based on Resign Momentum
ALEXANDRIA, VA (September 10, 2013) — National Trade Productions, Inc. (NTP), the leader in the face-to-face events industry, today announced significant 2013 show floor sales growth for its client, the American Public Works Association (APWA). The association’s International Public Works Congress & Exposition, held August 25-28, 2013 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill., attracted 412 exhibiting companies, encompassing 87,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space. This metric represents 20.6% expansion over 2012.
“Attendees at the International Public Works Congress & Exposition gather specifically to assess the state of the industry and find solutions they can implement immediately,” said Andrew Ortale, Executive Vice President. “To support this value proposition, NTP cultivated a dynamic exhibition experience that created outstanding opportunities for networking, exposure and lead generation for exhibitors. It’s a formula for success that drives real ROI and is reinforced by our onsite commitments for 2014 that already encompass 75% of the show floor — marking one of the strongest resigns in APWA recent history.”
Known as “The Best Show in Public Works,” APWA’s International Public Works Congress & Exposition unites thousands of professionals worldwide who plan, design, operate, maintain and manage public infrastructure. NTP facilitates and manages the operations and exhibit sales and marketing for the event. In recent years, NTP and APWA have added specialty areas on the show floor, including a popular Technology Pavilion with a “There’s an App for that Stage.” Other show floor enhancements include exhibitor product demo theaters and an expanded Sustainability Pavilion, featuring a model park and recreation area. This area showcases exhibitor products in a real-world setting that allows attendees to enjoy hot dogs and lemonade while relaxing on the park benches.
For more than 100 years, the APWA International Public Works Congress & Exposition has drawn thousands of public works professionals from all over the world for four days of valuable information, with more than 125 education sessions and an expansive exhibition floor. The 2014 event will take place August 17-20, 2014 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario. For more information, visit www.apwa.net/Congress.
