Sales Director

Michael Harrell is a seasoned sales professional with over a decade of experience in event sales, membership development, advertising, and sponsorship strategy. For the past two years, he has served as Director of Sales at NTP Events, where he oversees exhibit and sponsorship sales for a portfolio of major conferences and trade shows. In this role, he focuses on forging lasting client relationships, maximizing value for partners, and driving sustainable growth for each event.
Before joining NTP Events, Michael held a variety of leadership roles across associations and industry organizations, where he built and managed sales teams, implemented new CRM systems, restructured membership and pricing models, and developed multi-channel marketing and outreach strategies. His work consistently emphasized collaboration, relationship building, and finding thoughtful solutions to complex challenges.
With a background in hospitality and marketing, Michael brings a service-minded, strategic approach to sales. He believes that trust, clarity, and long-term thinking are essential in creating partnerships that last. Known for his calm leadership style and attention to detail, he’s a strong advocate for both his clients and his colleagues.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with a minor in Marketing from the University of South Carolina. He is driven by integrity, consistency, and a genuine interest in helping others succeed—qualities that continue to shape his approach in every role he takes on.
