Director of Operations & Conferences
David Cherry is passionate about producing memorable events. With 10 years of experience, he joined the NTP family in August 2017 where he serves as the Director of Operations & Conferences. He is responsible for the strategic planning and management of operational and logistical areas for NTP tradeshows. David has the awesome privilege to work alongside some of the best and brightest professionals within his operations team.
Prior to joining NTP, David worked for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization where he served at the Corporate Relations & Exhibits Manager. While there, he gained a wealth of experience working in membership, marketing, advertising, and philanthropy. He partnered with the education and meetings team to produce the best experience possible for conference attendees at both their online and in-person events.
David holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He is currently working on a M.A. in Management Marketing at the University of Maryland University College Graduate School. He is a member of the International Association of Exposition and Events where he proudly earned his Certified Exhibition Management designation in 2011. While not working, David is also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

Anything musical! Especially if it resembled a microphone.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?
I would love to fly! Who needs to deal with cars, traffic, bad drivers and cramped planes when you could soar above it all where you need to be.
